Senior Data Engineer

About The Position

Bionic is actively seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team as a key member. This pivotal role involves establishing and managing data pipelines, contributing to decision-making based on data insights, constructing robust data infrastructure, and configuring the necessary environments.

Unlike cloud security posture offerings, Bionic provides deep visibility into the application layer to help organizations manage the risk of their services, APIs, dependencies, and data flows in production.

What you will do?

Design, develop, and deploy scalable data pipelines and workflows.
Collaborate with R&D and Security researchers to understand their data needs and design infrastructure solutions.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for data processing and analysis.
Build data environments from scratch, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
Design and implement new features at the core of our evolving product.
Develop data platforms that will impact millions of users worldwide.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
Strong experience with distributed computing platforms for high-scale systems and processing large volumes of data (e.g., Apache Flink, Apache Spark, Apache Beam).
Proficiency in working with cloud providers (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) and deploying data solutions in the cloud.
Expertise in high-level programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or Go.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
Familiarity with data management technologies, such as Apache Kafka, Apache Airflow, and MLOps tools.

Advantages:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
Experience with developing and deploying microservices for data processing.
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker, Linux, CI/CD, and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with various database technologies (SQL-like, MongoDB, Redis).
